Children's Ministry

About Childrens Ministry

We acknowledge that before God, parents have the primary responsibility for the spiritual nurture of their children. Therefore, we take joy in presenting Biblical truths to children which is a ministry of partnering with their parents. Parental participation is strongly encouraged.

We seek to assist parents by providing children with a Bible-based foundation of history and doctrine. We hope to have multiple opportunities to share the gospel message of Christ Jesus with your child.

Children are best taught from the Bible:

Because we believe that faith comes through hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17), our lessons are all from the Bible. It is a growing trend among some churches to teach character or moral lessons from fictional stories, but young children are not developmentally ready for such allegory. We lead students to understand God's truth directly from the Bible and apply it to their lives.

Sunday School classes begin at 10 a.m.

Children ages 3-3rd grade begin with a time (approximately 15 minutes) of teacher-led praise and will learn a variety of classic children's Bible songs. They will also prepare for special songs which will be sung before the congregation, usually to signify a special holiday.

Students then separate for lessons which are taught using material from Regular Baptist Press.

Children in 4th -6th grades meet for lessons from Generations of Grace curriculum.

Children's Church begins after corporate worship at 11 a.m.

Children will join their families and participate in the corporate worship time at 11am. Those in kindergarten through 3rd grade will be dismissed prior to the sermon and will attend the Children's Church hour downstairs. During this time, a lesson will be taught using The Visualized Bible series which presents Biblical history and doctrine chronologically. Each lesson relates a biblical truth to Christ Jesus, and reveals each person's need for Jesus as a personal savior.
